Celebrating the Life of Jerry “Mikey” Lynch, age 48, of Big Lake, Texas Passed away January 8, 2023.

Frances Louise Matthews, of Big Lake, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, January 3, 2023.

Barbara Williams, 93, of Big Lake passed peacefully on Sunday, November 20, 2022. Graveside service will be Wednesday, November 23, 2022, 2.p.m. at Glen Rest Cemetery in Big Lake.

On November 12, Rosantina “Rosa” Barrera Flores, departed this earth. Born October 8th, 1954, she migrated from Mexico and settled in Big Lake, TX. At the age of 19 she married her husband, Pablo Flores, of San Saba, TX. They spent the next 49 years making a life in Big Lake and raising their family.

Cynthia Lea “Cyndy” Browne, 56 of Big Lake, formerly of Colorado City passed away at her home on the ranch on Sunday October 30, 2022. She was born on July 6, 1966 in Big Lake the daughter of O.W. Parker and Cathryn Cope Kessler.

Michelle Raye Lawler, 53, of Big Lake was called home on August 22, 2022.

Thomas L. Byrd, Jr., 86, of Big Lake, Texas went to be with the Lord on Saturday, August 20, 2022, in Big Lake surrounded by his loving family.

Billy Ray Templeton was born March 11, 1958 and departed us on August 2, 2022. His wit and jokes were quick until the end. He was an avid runner and mathematician enjoying board or card games, …

Vicente Gomez went to his heavenly home on August 9, 2022. He was born on January 22, 1928, in Zaragoza, Mexico, to Pedro Gomez and Guadalupe Flores. He was one of twelve children. On September 25, 1955, Vicente married Antonia Palomino. They had eight children and enjoyed 60 years together.

Tommy Lee Childress, 79 of Big Lake, Texas passed away on July 12, 2022, at his home in Big Lake. Tommy was born in Kingsville, Texas to Johnnie and Ruby Childress on April 18, 1943, on the King Ranch. Tommy was raised on the family farm in North Reagan County and attended Reagan County High School and graduated in 1961. Tommy attended college at Hardin-Simmons University in Abilene and then worked on the Scott Ranch as a cowboy.

Ann Way Schneemann passed away on July 6, 2022. Ann was the first child born to Lacy and Doris Way in Texon, TX on May 10, 1935. Ann married Bill Schneemann on the Pembrook Ranch north of Big Lake on August 28, 1955. She was a long-time active member of the First United Methodist Church of Big Lake.

Ellen Jean Kuykendall of Big Lake, fell asleep in death May 13, 2022 at 81 years of age. Jean, as she liked to be called, spent her life serving Jehovah and speaking to everyone she could about him.

Bode George Owens, Jr. (Buck), longtime Crockett County rancher, went to be with the Lord on Sunday, May 29th, with his family by his side.  Visitation was held at Harper Funeral Home (San Angelo) from 5:00-7:00pm on Wednesday, June 1, 2022. Graveside service will be at 10:00am, on Thursday, June 2, 2022 at Cedar Hill Cemetery in Ozona.

Jeffery Lee Weatherby went to be with the Lord on December 28, 2021 at 3:03pm, at Baylor, Scott and White Hospital in Temple, Texas, following a month-long battle with Covid Pneumonia.  

Nikaya Raelynn Ortiz, 8, passed away Monday, June 28, 2021, in Big Lake. Public viewing will be from 2 p.m. until 6 p.m. Thursday, July 1, 2021, at First Baptist Church of Big Lake, 510 E. 7th St., Big Lake, Tx. 76932, and from 9 a.m. until 8 p.m. Friday, July 2, 2021, at Robert Massie Riverside Chapel. A balloon release will be at 7 p.m. Thursday, July 1, 2021, at James H. Bird Memorial Stadium in Big Lake. Funeral Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday, July 3, 2021, at Robert Massie Riverside Chapel with Pastor Todd Nelson, pastor of Christian Faith Center, officiating. Burial will follow at Fairmount Cemetery under the direction of Robert Massie Funeral Home.

Donna Marie (Turner) Fowler, born November 18, 1930, passed away peacefully in her sleep on Friday, May 28, 2021. Donna was born and raised in Barnhart, TX where she attended high school. She spent many years with her loving husband Hershel. They transferred to different National Parks for the US Dept. of Interior. They even lived in Alaska for a period of time.

Elmer Earl Garlitz passed away peacefully on March 7, 2021, at Country View Living in Dimmitt, Texas.

Laura Adilene Harville Settle, 93, passed from this life to the next on Sunday, December 6, 2020. She was born near Oplin, Texas at the family home to Tina Bartley Harville and Sidney S. Harville on April 8, 1927.

Henry Herbert Settle passed from this life to the next on March 3, 2020. He was born on March 17, 1927 in Baird, Texas, to Lilly Hampton Settle and S. Ernest Settle. He grew up in Baird and graduated from Baird High School. He married Adilene Harville on May 12, 1945.

Joyce Quinney, 77, passed away Saturday, January 25, 2020, in Dallas. Public viewing will be from 11:00 a.m. until 8:00 p.m. with the family receiving friends from 5:00 PM until 8:00 p.m. on Monday, January 27, 2020, at Robert Massie Riverside Chapel.
