Vickie Lynn Parker (Manning), 66, of Big Lake, Texas, passed away on January 7, 2024. She was born on October 9, 1957, in Bryan, Texas. Vickie was a beloved daughter, sister, wife, mother, and grandmother.
Vickie dedicated her 35 year career as a nurse and retired from Reagan Hospital District, where she touched the lives of many patients with her compassionate care and dedication. Her commitment to her profession was admired by her colleagues and patients alike.
Vickie will be deeply missed by her family and friends. She is survived by her loving husband, Scott Parker of Big Lake, Texas. She is also survived by her daughter, Mindy Holyoke, and her family of McKinney, Texas; her son James Mills, and his family of Wiley, Texas; her son Ross Parker, and his family of Lubbock, Texas; her son Ryan Parker, and his family of Grand Praire, Texas; her sister, Teri Gardner and her family of Blanchard, Oklahoma; her sister, Lana Guthrie and her family of Elysian Fields, Texas; her sister, Lisa Rodgers and her family of Gary, Texas; her sister Deanna Morales and her family of Little Elm, Texas; her sister Karen Manning and her family of Houston, Texas; her sister Neva Calvit and her family of Blanchard, Oklahoma; her sister Tracy Atzenhoffer and her family of Bedias, Texas; her brother Lea Daggett and his family of Fort Stockton, Texas; her brother Bud Daggett and his family of Fort Stockton, Texas.
Grandchildren; L J Casias; Casey Mills; Alex Mills; Ashlyn Casias; Jackson Mills; Cash Parker; Finley Parker; Reagan Parker; and Hudson Parker.
Vickie was preceded in death by her father, James Lamar Manning; her mother Jimmie Pauline Snapp; and her brother Joseph Wayne Daggett.
A grave site service will be held in Big, Lake, Texas, at Glenn Rest Cemetery. The viewing will take place on January 11, 2024, at 10:00 am followed by the service at 11:00 am. The funeral arrangements are being handled by Shaffer Funeral Home in San Angelo, Texas.
Vickie Lynn Parker will be remembered for her kindness, dedication, and the love she shared with her family. May her soul rest in eternal peace.
