Tate Shane Siegenthaler, 61, of Bluffton, TX passed away on Thursday, June 1, 2023. He was born on November 25, 1961 in Lovington, NM to Mack and Betty Siegenthaler.
Tate attended Reagan Co. High School and graduated in the class of 1981. He then began his career in the oilfield, working for 12 years and then began his ranching career as a Ranch Foreman.
Tate married the love of his life Mitzi on June 18, 1982 and had 3 children. Tate was a proud father of his kids. Being involved in multiple activities with them, from 4-H, FFA, Little League, Pop Warner Football, and any events his kids were in. He had a passion for guiding deer hunts, varmint hunting, and woodwork, Tate will always be remembered for always helping others in their time of need.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents Herman and Welcome Siegenthaler, grandparents Buck and Pete Scott, his parents Mack and Betty Siegenthaler, sister Denise Golson and brother Lynn Siegenthaler. Those left to cherish his memory are his wife Mitzi Siegenthaler, sisters Regina Kane and Mahonna Gunnels, children Amy Cranek (Cody), Tye Siegenthaler (Ashton) and Wil Siegenthaler (Kayla), grandchildren Stockton Cranek, Shane Cranek, Eloise Siegenthaler, Sadie Cranek, Haze Siegenthaler and Trig Siegenthaler and numerous nieces and nephews.
A visitation will be held from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. Monday, June 5, 2023 at Johnson’s Funeral Home.
A celebration of Tate’s life will be held at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, June 6, 2023 in the chapel of Johnson’s Funeral Home.
Interment will follow in Glen Rest Cemetery in Big Lake, TX.
Pallbearers will be Edward Brooks, James Furr, Aaron Gunnels, Grant Cornett, Mike Center and Mitch Dorsey. Honorary Pallbearer will be A.J. Wallace.
The family would like to thank family and friends who have supported and prayed for Tate for the last 7 years with his fight against cancer.
