Pedro H. Vargas Jr., age 76, was born on March 24, 1950, in Villa Unión, Coahuila, Mexico, to Pedro and Dora Vargas. As a young boy, he worked cutting wood and doing whatever work he could find to help support his parents. He attended school through the fifth grade.

At the age of 17, Pedro moved to Mertzon, Texas, where he worked alongside his father at Carter Ranch until he was 19. He later moved to Big Lake, Texas, where he made his home and built his life.

Pedro cherished being surrounded by his family and treasured the time they spent together. He loved music and dancing, and those who knew him will remember the joy he found in family gatherings and the memories shared with his loved ones.

Pedro was a faithful Catholic and a member of St. Margaret’s Catholic Church in Big Lake, Texas.
