Nominations are now open for the 2026 Citizen of the Year, New Horizon of the Year, Pioneer of the Year and Business of the Year awards through the Big Lake Chamber of Commerce.
Nomination forms are available at the Chamber office, and all entries must be submitted by May 15, 2026.
Nominations may be mailed or delivered to the Big Lake Chamber of Commerce, P.O. Box 905, Big Lake, TX 76932.
Submissions should be placed in a sealed envelope with the specific award clearly marked on the outside.
The Citizen of the Year award recognizes an individual who has made a meaningful difference in the community. The New Horizon award is open to Reagan County residents between the ages of 20 and 40 who have made a positive impact. The Pioneer of the Year honors a resident age 70 or older who has contributed to Big Lake over the past year. The Business of the Year award recognizes a local business that has made a significant contribution to the community.
Nominees are not required to be Chamber members.
A community-based selection committee will review all applications, and the Chamber Board and staff do not determine the winners.
Award recipients will be announced at the Big Lake Chamber Banquet in early June.
