Edna Inez Galloway
February 9, 1922 - May 10, 2016
Edna Inez Galloway was born February 9, 1922 in Old Glory, Texas to her parents William Edward Malone and Florence Jewel Davis. Inez entered into heavenly rest on the morning of May 10, 2016 at the Reagan County Care Center in Big Lake, Texas at the age of 94 years, 3 months.
She graduated from Old Glory High School in 1938. She married Victor Nichols Galloway on January 15, 1941 in Peacock, Texas.
Inez was a devoted wife to Victor for 73 years, 8 months. After her children were grown, she earned her cosmetology license, and worked for a time as a beautician. In subsequent years, she and Victor spent many wonderful years together checking on their land and cattle on the portion of land they bought from his fathers acreage. She was a member of Baptist churches throughout her life.
In later years, they moved to San Angelo, Texas, to a retirement facility and then to the nursing facility in Big Lake, Texas. They were lovingly and competently cared for by the staff and Dr. Joseph Sudolcan, to which the family offers our sincere thanks and gratitude.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Victor, her sister Ailine, brother William Alvis and nephew Stephen Ziegler.
She is survived by her daughter Glenda Powell and husband Clyde, of Portales, NM. their children and grandchildren Curt and Jocelyn Powell of Tulsa, OK, and their children Alex, Cassie, Eli, Clay, and Isaac: Crista Carnes, of Denver, CO, and her children Stefani and husband Ethan Matott, Carson and Keaton Carnes: Kayla and husband Todd Leopold, of Denver, CO, and their children Avery and Channing: son Ronald Victor Galloway and wife Rebecca, of San Angelo, Texas and their son Matt and wife Jennifer Galloway, and their sons Shane and Alec of San Angelo, Texas: nieces Nancy Ziegler, Marlene Beck, Linda Daniels, and nephew Joe Delton Galloway, plus numerous genuine long-time friends.
Graveside services will be Friday. May 13, 2016 at 2:00 pm at the Aspermont Cemetery.
