Vickie Lynn Parker (Manning), 66, of Big Lake, Texas, passed away on January 7, 2024. She was born on October 9, 1957, in Bryan, Texas. Vickie was a beloved daughter, sister, wife, mother, and grandmother.

Rebecca (Becky) Benson, a devout follower of Christ, peacefully passed away on December 16, 2023 surrounded by her family in Midland, Texas. Born with a heart full of love and compassion, she dedicated her life to serving others and spreading the message of God’s grace.

Cody Lee Mitchell, a beloved father, son, brother, uncle, and friend, passed away on Thursday, August 31, 2023, in Wichita Falls, Texas, at the age of 35. He was born on April 5, 1988, in Decatur, Texas, to his loving parents, Warren Lee Mitchell and Tracy Denise Duffie.

Gabriel James Robles, 40, went home to be with the Lord on July 3, 2023. Public viewing will be from 10:00 AM until 8:00 PM with the rosary being prayed at 6:00 PM Thursday, July 13, 2023, at Robert Massie Riverside Chapel. Mass will be at 1:00 PM Friday, July 14, 2023, at St. Margaret of Cortona Catholic Church in Big Lake, Texas. Burial will follow at Glen Rest Cemetery under the direction of Robert Massie Funeral Home.

Barbara Williams, 93, of Big Lake passed peacefully on Sunday, November 20, 2022. Graveside service will be Wednesday, November 23, 2022, 2.p.m. at Glen Rest Cemetery in Big Lake.

On November 12, Rosantina “Rosa” Barrera Flores, departed this earth. Born October 8th, 1954, she migrated from Mexico and settled in Big Lake, TX. At the age of 19 she married her husband, Pablo Flores, of San Saba, TX. They spent the next 49 years making a life in Big Lake and raising their family.

Cynthia Lea “Cyndy” Browne, 56 of Big Lake, formerly of Colorado City passed away at her home on the ranch on Sunday October 30, 2022. She was born on July 6, 1966 in Big Lake the daughter of O.W. Parker and Cathryn Cope Kessler.

Vicente Gomez went to his heavenly home on August 9, 2022. He was born on January 22, 1928, in Zaragoza, Mexico, to Pedro Gomez and Guadalupe Flores. He was one of twelve children. On September 25, 1955, Vicente married Antonia Palomino. They had eight children and enjoyed 60 years together.

Tommy Lee Childress, 79 of Big Lake, Texas passed away on July 12, 2022, at his home in Big Lake. Tommy was born in Kingsville, Texas to Johnnie and Ruby Childress on April 18, 1943, on the King Ranch. Tommy was raised on the family farm in North Reagan County and attended Reagan County High School and graduated in 1961. Tommy attended college at Hardin-Simmons University in Abilene and then worked on the Scott Ranch as a cowboy.

Ann Way Schneemann passed away on July 6, 2022. Ann was the first child born to Lacy and Doris Way in Texon, TX on May 10, 1935. Ann married Bill Schneemann on the Pembrook Ranch north of Big Lake on August 28, 1955. She was a long-time active member of the First United Methodist Church of Big Lake.

Ellen Jean Kuykendall of Big Lake, fell asleep in death May 13, 2022 at 81 years of age. Jean, as she liked to be called, spent her life serving Jehovah and speaking to everyone she could about him.

Bode George Owens, Jr. (Buck), longtime Crockett County rancher, went to be with the Lord on Sunday, May 29th, with his family by his side.  Visitation was held at Harper Funeral Home (San Angelo) from 5:00-7:00pm on Wednesday, June 1, 2022. Graveside service will be at 10:00am, on Thursday, June 2, 2022 at Cedar Hill Cemetery in Ozona.
