Commissioners’ Court Holds Closed Session to Correct Potential Bid Law Violation
“I wasn’t trying to pull anything over on anyone. It was an honest mistake.” Thomas Strube, Reagan County Commissioner, Precinct 4
The Reagan County Commissioners Court entered into a 51-minute closed door session Monday to discuss a contract for road materials.
“I went over on material on Ringo Road,” Commissioner Thomas Strube explained prior to the closed session. “Chad said there is a clause pertaining to overages due to weather. The issue happened in May during all the rain. We had to fix a canal that developed in Ringo Road, and hauled more material than expected.”
Reagan County Attorney Chad Elkins suggested that the court enter into a closed-door executive session to discuss the issue since it pertained to a contract with a third party provider.
