Joshua Mitchell Remembrance Trek/5K Dates Set

The Joshua Mitchell Remembrance 5K is set for August 6, 2016 while the Trek is scheduled for October 8, 2016.
The event is open to the public and has a $20 entry fee to anyone that wants to participate. (Fee includes trek/5K and a tshirt)
The deadline to register for the 5K is August 1, 2016, while the deadline to enter the Trek is October 3, 2016.
The 5K will begin at 7:30 a.m. at the Josh Mitchell Memorial Park at 900 N. Montana Avenue and will take participants 3.14 miles through Big Lake. The course will be announced on the morning of the event.
The Trek will begin from the Reagan County North Park at 7 a.m.
Participants are welcome to run, jog, walk, bicycle, motorcycle, atv or any combination of the bunch the 18.5 miles to the Stiles Cemetery.
Awards will be given for Top Female/Male in the 11-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49 and 50+ age groups in the 5K.
Event founder Rusty Weatherby said that the Trek is intended as a way for the community to remember the sacrifice that Joshua Mitchell made on August 1, 2012. 
Volunteers are appreciated to help hand out water at check points along the Trek.
