Reagan County Residents Warned of Confirmed Plague in Midland County
Reagan County Sheriff Jeff Garner received a call from Midland County Sheriff Gary Painter last week to notify him about confirmed cases of the plague in Midland County.
Garner said Painter wanted surrounding Counties to be aware of the situation even though there is no imminent threat to the public.
"I think people in our county should be aware of the situation due to the proximity of the confirmed cases to us," Garner said. "Especially people who live out in the county. They need to know the possibility is there. If they see a large die off of rodents or suspect that there may be an issue they should contact my office or the Texas Department of Health to report it."
