RCISD “Met Standard” in Accountability Report

High School Recieves High Mark; Elementary, Middle School Listed as ‘Improvement Required’
Reagan County ISD received a passing grade last week from the Texas Education Agency (TEA) which released the 2015 state accountability system ratings for more than 1,200 school districts and charter schools, as well as the more than 8,600 campuses statewide.

According to the state’s report card, RCISD received an overall “Met Standard” rating.

Reagan County High School also received the “Met Standard” rating, while the Elementary and Middle School each received a rating of “Improvement Required.”

“I’m very pleased with where we are as a district right now,” Superintendent Steve Long said. “I know those two campuses have a rating of ‘Improvement Required,’ but they are doing so many things right. I know our students, and in turn our community, are being well served by the school district.”

The ratings are based on measurements such as standardized test scores, graduation rates and student readiness for college and work.
