New Athletic Policy Puts Emphasis on Not Quitting
Reagan County ISD’s new Athletic Policy for 2015-2016 provides punishment for athletes that decide to quit a sport mid-season without coach’s consent.
The new policy, approved by the Reagan County Board of Trustees Monday night, places a heavy priority on sticking to commitments made.
“At Reagan County athletics, we promote an attitude of not quitting when things don’t go your way,” the policy states.
“This has been an issue for us in the past, but not a major one,” Athletic Director Ken Campbell said. “We just needed to get a policy in place where Middle School coaches and High School coaches can be on the same page.”
