A NEW AGE IN CARDIAC CARE
BIG LAKE SAFER WITH EMS’ NEW HEART TOOLS
Reagan County’s EMS Service has taken ownership of two pieces of equipment that make the county one of the safest places to have a cardiac event in West Texas.
Alan Garner, director of the EMS service, said the new equipment improves his department’s effectiveness in those cardiac events by well over 10 fold.
“First let me say this isn’t about having the newest and shiniest toys,” Garner said. “This equipment will change the way we assess cardio patients, relay that information to their receiving facility, and keep them alive on their way. All of this happens while freeing up our medic’s hands to perform other important tasks.”
