Josh Mitchell Remembrance Association Seeking Sponsors for Banquet
The Josh Mitchell Remembrance Association is seeking sponsors for their First Responder Appreciation Banquet.
The banquet will be held on August 1, 2015 at the Reagan County Community Building starting at 5:30 p.m.
During the banquet first responders who were killed in the line of duty in 2014 will be honored.
The JMRA will honor surviving spouses and children by presenting them with an engraved brick that will be placed in the Josh Mitchell Memorial Park located at 900 N. Montana Avenue.
Sergeant Yvonne Vann, of the Bexar County Sheriff’s Office, will be the keynote speaker for the event.
Sergeant Vann is a 24 year veteran of the department and currently works in internal affairs.
Sergeant Vann is also a survivor having lost her husband, Sergeant Kenneth Gary Vann in 2011 when he was killed by gunfire while stopped at a traffic light.
The event also serves as an appreciation dinner for local law enforcement, fire departments and EMS personnel.
The JMRA banquet will serve as the group’s annual fundraiser to help fund scholarships for deserving seniors well into the future.
Sponsors for the event help provide a meal to be served to all survivors and first responders in attendance as well as prizes to be raffled off during the evening.
If you are interested in sponsoring to the JMRA Banquet please call 432-397-2340, 325-650-3095 or 325-226-8367.
