Early Voting Begins April 25 in City Election
Early Voting begins April 25 to elect two at-large council positions to the Big Lake City Council.
Current Mayor Pro-Tem Phil Pool is the only candidate seeking the mayor position in the election.
There are three people vying for the two available council spots.
Those three are incumbent Robin Collins, Incumbent Melvin Davis Jr. and former council member Cliff Miller.
People interested in voting can do so by going to the Big Lake City Hall from April 25 to May 3, 2016.
Voting hours will be 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. on April 25 and May 2, and 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. on April 26 through May 3.
Election day will be Saturday, May 7, 2016. Voting will again be held at City Hall from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. on election day.
Last year only 123 total people voted in the City election.
That number was roughly eight percent of the 1,504 people registered to vote in that election.
