On May 19, 2014, Violet Aldene Ford McGuire of Barnhart, Texas peacefully passed away.

Funeral services were grave side on May 21, 2014 at Kermit Cemetery, Kermit, Texas with pastor William R. Blain of Grand Prairie officiating. Arrangements are with Family Services Funeral Home in Kermit.

Aldene was born September 27, 1920 at Hope, New Mexico to William C. and Mary Childress Ford. She was born into a large family with seven living brothers, six living sisters and one half sister. She graduated from Kermit High School.

On June 22, 1940 she married Conley Edward McGuire, Jr. in Seminole, Texas. She was a long time member of Vine Avenue Baptist Church, Odessa. She was a homemaker with abundant talents, including quilting, sewing, crocheting and knitting.

Aldene was the last surviving member of her original family.

Survivors include her son E. Alan McGuire and his wife Beverly of Barnhart and daughter Priscilla A. Taylor of Iowa Park. Grandchildren Tangela Blain, Tonya Stalcup, Terry Pustujovsky, Tracy Van Winkle, and Bryan Taylor; eight great grandchildren and one great great grandchild and several special nieces and nephews.
